Open Revolution in CCR Design!

A lot has been published on the risks of rebreather diving. The Open Revolution™ initiative aims to put into the public domain the key information to bring the risks involved in rebreather diving down to better than for Open Circuit.

To achieve this, it provides the core information, templates and examples, to educate rebreather designers on basic precepts of life critical system design. The initiative publicises technologies that improve safety or which eliminate the primary risks, and establish standards for good design.

The Deep Life technologies in Open Revolution™ rebreathers make a dive no more hazardous than a commute on an air shuttle.

Services Highlight: ASIC Design

Deep Life is a leading technology design house, providing a full service from initial thoughts to volume production. Skill sets are genuinely world-class, supporting the business of leading companies.

Deep Life ASIC design team have carried out over 70 ASIC designs including:

  • 20Gbps comms per pin, using standard 0.18um CMOS, using simultaneous bidirectional signalling.
  • RF ASICs, for Bluetooth (including the original concept device in 1993).
  • 100 million gate high speed ATE pin drivers
  • Safety critical ASICs
  • Memory redundancy controllers.

Reduce Time to Market!

Deep Life has been able to cut the time to market, on project after project. How can we do this for you?

Cuts in time to market have been acheived in different ways, depending on the project. Reinforcing in-house teams on critical projects, or by taking on projects needed for a business at times when all the internal resources are already allocated, or simply running a critical project in parellel: adapting to the client's needs in each case.

As an example, in 2008, a client without the specialist resources needed a full custom analogue ASIC combined with an ARM processor driving an OLED display. We took the whole product from concept to tapeout in 5 months, including all firmware, test fixtures, a new broad patent, packaging, mechanical design, thermal design, pcb design, documentation for CE approval and a working demonstrator using discrete parts that is being shipped by the client while the ASIC is fabricated.

Call us today: everyone wants to reduce development lead time. Let us show you some more concrete examples, and then tailor a project to your needs.
